Fabric:
(2) ½ yard pieces of fabric – one light, one dark – This doesn’t have to be anything fancy. This is just practice fabric from a quilt store.
Project Supplies:
Sewing Machine in good working order
Schmetz Microtex Sewing Machine Needles size 70/10
Single Needle Throatplate if you have one
Quarter-inch sewing foot of you have one
Medium Rotary Cutter with fresh blade
Rulers: 6”x12” & 3”x18” or 4”x14” if you have one, 6” or 8” square, & 12½” square. You will not need a 6”x24” ruler.
- Cutting Mat: at least 12”x24” (available in classroom),
- 12½” square rotating mat – optional/recommended
Straight Pins: Fine straight pins, I like Magic pins (available at The Quilted Fox)
Thread: 50 wt/2 ply in a neutral color e.g. muddy gray or tan
