Hand Piecing Supply List
Fabric:
¼ yard of each of five fabrics- make sure you have a difference in value (light, medium, and dark).
½ yard of background fabric
1 yard for border and binding fabric
1 ¼ yard backing fabric
1 crib size batting (cotton or polyester)
Project supplies:
Paper scissors and fabric scissors
Rotary cutter if you have one. It is not necessary to purchase one for this class
Template plastic—please purchase this at The Quilted Fox
Mechanical pencil
Bohn marking pencil
Small zip lock bag
Add-a-quarter ruler (available at The Quilted Fox)
Fine point Sharpie pen
Double faced Scotch tape
Milliners or straw needle size 11
Mettler fine machine embroidery thread- cotton It is important that you have this kind of thread. It is also available at The Quilted Fox. You can wait until class so we can discuss the color you should use.
Optional:
A needle threader- Louise will discuss this in class. Not all kinds will work. If you have one bring it.
