Basic knowledge of paper piecing is needed to create these amazing beauties. Learn Kim's color technique while creating your own masterpiece. Learn to make the New York Beauty block and variations of it. The class starts with a color selection discussion.

Class is held in three sessions on Oct 22, Nov 5, and Nov 19 from 10 am -12 noon each day.

A minimum of 35 – 40 different fabrics in roughly FQ or 1/2 -yard amounts, more for a scrappier look.

NOTE: Bring generally the colors you like to work with, not larges cale prints. We will be discussing in the first class so you can add more fabrics after that if you’d like.
Project Supplies
- Freezer paper
- pencil,
- disappearing ink marking pen,
- 12” and 24” clear rulers,
- 20# bond paper 8 ½ x 11 for making copies of the paper piecing patterns.
- A jeans needle is helpful for sewing through many layers.
- 45 mm rotary cutter with new or nearly new blade
- Quilting ruler for cutting
Pins, scissors, thread, rotary cutter, see-thru rulers, seam ripper, etc.
Cutting mats available for use during class at the Quilted Fox.
Sewing machine in good condition.
First Class: No sewing machine needed. We will discuss color, contrast, and fabrics.
Second and third classes: Bring sewing machines! Learning to sew the blocks.
