Open options is a fantastic quilt to use up stash, layer cakes or yardage. It has so many design options that no two will look alike. It can have one background or multiple backgrounds that read the same. You just need contrast between your focus fabrics and background.

Open Options is a fantastic quilt to use us stash, layer cakes, or yardage. It has so many design options that no two will look alike. (I am up to 27 versions) It can be one background or backgrounds that read the same. You can mix up your prints and choose one solid background or mix up your background. You just need contrast between your focus fabric(s) and background
Pattern: Open Options by Material Girlfriends (available at The Quilted Fox)
Fabric: 24 - medium to dark 10” squares
24 - 10” light squares
Or if purchasing yardage
2 yards light background (yields 28 - 10” squares plus four extra)
Seven - 1/3-yard cuts of different fabric prints. (yields 24 – 10” squares plus a few extra for design options. Or a total of 2 1/3 yards fabrics
Sewing Supplies:
Basic supplies: thread, pins, seam ripper, sewing machine with ¼” foot
Rotating mat is super helpful
Rotary cutting supplies:
New rotary blade
Ruler to cut 10” squares
4 x 14” ruler (or larger)
Design wall (flannel back tablecloth)
Precutting:
24 Medium to dark 10” squares
24 light 10” squares
