Hexagon Table Runner

Learn how to quilt as you go for this project. The quilting will be done as you create each of the hexagon blocks and then assemble the quilted blocks to create the table runner. This project will include topstitching.

Fabric:
- Backing: (Fabric for larger hexagon that folds over the print) 1 yard white, cream or light color.
- Prints: (placed inside hexagon) Variety of prints. Can use charm pack (fabric squares 5”x5”) or collection of scrappy fabrics at least 5”x5”. Need 28-30 pieces.
- Batting 30”x45”/ OR you can use leftover batting that measures at least 6” wide and several pieces to be close to the 30 x45” size.
- Thread matching the color of your backing fabric for topstitching.
Pattern: Provided in class
Project Supplies:
- Rotary cutter 45mm. We have self-healing mats at the shop you may use for class. You will be cutting batting as well as fabric.
- Hexagon templates : one 3” and one 2”
Basic Sewing Supplies:
- Sewing machine in good working order with new needle.
- Pins or wonder clips
- Thread
- Scissors
- Seam ripper
