Scrap Happy Technique of the Month

This is a perfect opportunity to try different techniques one block at a time. Come enhance your skills with y-seams, English paper piecing, fusible applique, needle turn applique, foundation paper piecing, scrappy wedge borders, ideas for finishing and more.
Basic knowledge of foundation paper piecing and applique is a prerequisite--these techniques will be discussed and reviewed in this series, but not taught. However, prior experience with English paper piecing is NOT required.

Fabrics:
- Scrap Happy Sampler pattern (available at The Quilted Fox)
- 2.5 yards background fabric
- ¾ yard low volume fabrics for border
- 2 ½ yards assorted colored fabric for blocks
- 1 ½ yards assorted colored fabrics for border
- ½ yard for binding
- 4 yards for backing
Supplies
- Ruler with 45 degree angle measuring lines
- Glue pen
- Fusible interfacing if you chose to raw edge versus needle turn applique
- Carol Doak foundation paper
- (28) 1” hexagons for English paper piecing
- Glue pen (Bohin or Sew Line)
- Template plastic
- Other supplies will be discussed/recommended throughout series
