Happy 4th of July!
Happy 4th of July to all of you! We hope you enjoy the holiday on Tuesday! We'll be out enjoying the holiday also so the shop will be closed. But, we'll be open today (Monday) and Wednesday for our regular hours.On Saturday, July 8, we still have space in a great class with Janet Singer. She'll be
teaching the Stash Slasher quilt from 10:30 to 2:30. She'll be teaching about color choices and giving out lots and lots of tips on how to make lots of really accurate half square triangles. The following Saturday, Trudy Johnson will be teaching her class on how to design your own unique t-shirt quilt and giving many tips on the easiest way to make the quilt. This is a non-sewing class from 1:30 to 2:30.
If you know someone who wants to learn to make a quilt or just to improve their precision and basic skills, we have Beginning Machine Piecing classes starting Tuesday, July 18 or Friday, July 21. For more details, click on the dates.
On Tuesday, July 11, the shop will close at 5:00 instead of 6:30pm. It's retreat week and our Tuesday night staff will be at retreat! It's not too late to join us for the Kinderhook retreat. This wonderful retreat center has a large, well equipped sewing room, comfortable sleeping rooms and fabulous food. The 3 night retreat is July 13-16, 2017. Cost is $385 per person. Arriving 4:00 pm on Thursday/Departing 2:00 pm on Sunday. Meals included. Retreats are always fun and you'll be able to spend some uninterrupted sewing time to make progress on those UFO's.
