Hello everyone,
           We have several things to tell you about today.  First of all the March/April/May Newsletter has been uploaded to the website, and we are ready to take registration for our spring classes.
           Next, we'd like to bring to your attention one of the new classes which begins, Saturday, March 14, from 10:30 am - Noon. It is Jen Kingwell's Baker's Dozen taught by Trudy Johnson and Sandy Chawla, cost is $75. This will be a class that meets seven times over 9 months for 90 minute sessions.  Class time will be a time to discuss color choices, fabric selection, and tips and tricks to make the work easier.  All of your cutting and sewing will be done at home.  Come and be inspired!  Pattern and template purchase required.  The sample is hanging inside the front door of the shop and is pictured below.


          Last, but certainly not least, we are pleased to announce The Fox Splashes in the Caribbean is the new Saturday Block of the Month that is starting April 2020.
         The quilt will be made up of blue, aqua, turquoise, emerald green, and teal colors combined with a textured white.  The quilt is designed with a pieced sashing that makes the quilt.  It is not difficult.  The quilt will have 16 main and 16 "alternate" blocks.  The alternate blocks will be the pieced sashing which we will do monthly as the alternate.  The finishing kit will be very simple.
       
        My plan:

• The program will last 16 months.  Each month you will get one main block and parts of the sashing.  After 16 months you will have all the blocks and the sashing.  A simple finishing kit will be offered.
• The program will cost $100.00 up front and the finishing kit will be $48.00.  I think this still sounds reasonable and in the end you will have quite a spectacular quilt.  Construction will not be difficult, and you will have the opportunity to attend a class in the beginning going over any construction tips for a successful quilt.  
• If you want, you can come and see a color picture of the completed quilt.  I will ask that you not take any pictures of it as I always like the surprise at the end.  Sign up needs to be in the next three weeks so we can get the kits made for April.

     Also, about The Fox Tiptoes Through the Tulips  -- please pick up any blocks you have not gotten by March 10th.  After that we will assume you will have dropped out of the program.  More of the gray fabric used in the finishing kit will be available at the end of March.  If you need more or have not ordered your finishing kit, we will be able to fill the order at that time.
