         Happy August!  If you're looking to beat the heat, we have some cool classes coming up this month:

Beginning Hand Piecing with Louise is a 3 session class for $60, Wednesday, August 3rd from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. and Wednesdays, August 10th and 17th from 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. Learn the techniques of hand piecing. How to be accurate with both simple and difficult patterns will be covered in this class.
Yellow Brick Road with Linda is a 2 session class for $30, this class meets Thursday, August 4th and Thursday, August 18th from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.  If you have taken the Beginning Machine Piecing class, this is the perfect class for your second quilt project.
It's a Kaffe Carnival with Marsha is one session Saturday, August 6th from 12:30 - 3:30 p.m., cost is $30 Carnivals are colorful and very fun places. Make your own carnival with wonderful Kaffe Fassett fabrics (or any colorful fabrics). This quilt is a perfect project for the newer quilter or the experienced. It goes together quickly and makes a very happy quilt!
Painless Paper Piecing with Marsha, Thursday, August 11th from 12:30 - 3:30 p.m.; cost is $30 If you hate paper piecing or if you have been afraid to try, you haven't tried this method! It is a game changer.
Basic Machine Applique' with Marsha, Thursday, August 18th from 12:30 - 3:30 p.m., cost is $30 In this class you'll learn the technique that you can then apply to any applique' project. Requires a sewing machine with an adjustable zigzag stitch.
