March 28, 2024 Out of March and into April!
With the end of March approaching we see the finish of the St Louis Metro Area Shop. We have met so many wonderful sewists, quiltmakers and fabric collectors. Some brought friends and others brought their supportive family members. Our last day for the shop hop is this Saturday. Come visit and put your name into the last drawing of the month. Happy quilting to all.
A new set of classes for the months of April - June is now up on the website, here's a link: https://www.quiltedfox.com/classes.htm
We start with Louise's Beginning Paper Piecing the Carol Doak Method on Friday, April 12th 1-3:30 PM. We will make a paper pieced medallion star which you can expand upon if you wish. Paper piecing yields the most exact points as you will see. The class will begin with a short discussion on color and value in fabric selection. Pattern provided in class.
Saturday, April 13th 8:30-10:00 is Louise's Color Workshop. An opportunity to explore color in a very special and open atmosphere. After discussion about color, value and tones plus textures, create your own palette with the shop fabrics. Critique and refine your palettes with Louise's and the group guidance.
Saturday, April 13th 1-2:30 PM Louise teaches Hand Applique with Freezer Paper. Learn Louise's method, her invisible stitch technique, and other tricks to make hand applique fun and easy. Small kit included (fabric, needle, pins, freezer paper and thread).
New offerings in April from Marsha Bray called Channeling Candy and Kim Tippana called Vintage Swirl are quite dynamic.
Then watch for later in the month Getting Started with EQ with Jane Coons and Yellow Brick Road with Linda Grabel.
